In 490 BC, Pheidippides, a Greek messenger was sent from the battlefield of Marathon to Athens to announce that the Persians had been defeated in the Battle of Marathon. Legend has it that he ran the entire distance without stopping and burst into the assembly, declaring. "We have won." he then collapsed and died. This was the first marathon. Men continue to run in pursuit of prizes, trophies and prestige to this day.
We are all running. The real questions are, what are we pursuing and are we running to win?
The Apostle Paul said , "Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but only one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may win."
Join us as we consider what running THE race of life is all about. Join us to learn how to Run to Win! All high school students are welcome! classes of 2011, 12, 13, 14, & 2015!
This Year's Speakers:
Mike Arzie - Youth Pastor and all around funny guy.
Jeff Rathjen - Software Instructor, Prayer Warrior and First Team All Retreat Speaker 4 years running.
Dr. Gary Ott - an expert in the fields of heart transplants, both physical and spiritual.
Gary Dozier - Pastor & Evangelist. If you haven't heard the gospel, you also haven't met Gary.
The Cost & Registration Deadline:
Cost is $140 per person and $10 for a retreat t-shirt
Registration deadline is Monday, August 1st
Place your t-shirt order by tuesday, July 26th

The Schedule:
Friday, August 5: check-in begins at Southwest Bible Church @ 11:00 a.m. Buses will leave promptly @ 12:00 p.m. (noon). Eat ahead of time or bring a sack lunch for the bus ride up. Dinner Themes:
Each dinner will feature a different theme. Come dressed and ready to compete. Each cabin's best dressed member will receive an award at that evening's session.
Friday Night - Come dressed in your favorite sport attire or dress like your favorite athlete!
Saturday Night - Retro Night - Whether it's the 70's, 80's or 90's or maybe the 20's, come dressed like your favorite era!
Sunday Night - Christmas in July - Tis the season! Pull out that favorite Christmas sweater or elf costume!
Medical Information
The purpose of this section is to inform the staff of any medical limitation or exceptions and to clarify the student's present physical status. All information is used strictly for the staff leaders. Only staff are made aware of this medical information and it is password protected. No information is sold to outside sources. On the line please indicate "none" or relay information.
In addition to registering you must also sign a Medical Release Form and drop it off at the church office.
